I am looking for, I think, a Mataor enduro model, as opposed to the normal trials models.
I have just fisished a long project restoring from the ground up of a Montesa 248 from 1981, so need another project (You know what it is like).
Found a couple so far, 1 ready to ride, at a price, and another that needs a rebuild – pictures show engine in frame, wheels fitted and a pile of bits, so no doubt there will be parts missing etc.
What is the spares situation like for the Matador?
Was the engine based on a trials engine, and were many cycle parts shared?
